Cathodic Protection Surveys

Cathodic protection is used to control the corrosion of a wide variety of submerged metallic structures. It has proved to be a cost-effective way to extend the life of structures.

Research & Development

The design and engineering of sophisticated systems for corrosion and fouling prevention are at the forefront of MME Group’s services. Remote condition monitoring is wholly integrated in our systems.

Our own R&D-facilities guarantee that the newest technologies are applied and constantly updated in our systems. One of our latest R&D-projects, for example, included an offshore platform that was installed using so-called suction pile technology. The design comprises an innovative anode plan with a hybrid system based on impressed current. Using a LAN-connection, the condition and protection of each separate part of the platform can be assessed and adjusted.

The effectiveness of our designs and the reliability of our equipment have been proven over the years on almost all types of ships. But apart from solutions based on standard components, MME Group also offers specialised protection systems for hopper dredgers, harbour quays, offshore structuresand foundations. Design, development and production of these electrical systems are carried out in our well-equipped factory in the Netherlands.

A recent development is putting into use our high frequency-controlled cathodic protection electric power units. The use of large and expensive transformers is no longer need and hence, we are able to offer much smaller and lighter power control boxes at lower prices.
