Special applications

Apart from systems with common applications in the marine industry like open water cooling systems and box coolers, MME Group has designed a range of fouling prevention systems for specialised applications.

Due to the flexible layout of the Marine Growth Prevention Systems, very large structures can be protected in an economical way. The consumption of the copper anode, for example, can be optimised using integrated temperature measurements, GPS information and other control functions of the vessel management system.


MME special applications for industry

Marine growth often endangers the performance of onshore industrial structures. Unscheduled shutdowns are not only very expensive, but also lead to extra pollution and loss of production. MME has designed and installed a number of marine growth prevention systems in the petrochemical and power generating industries, such as systems for water flows in excess of 25.000 m2 per hour.


MME special applications for offshore

MME’s systems have been installed in the offshore industries, preventing marine growth in filters and heat exchangers. These systems communicate with most plant management and control systems and achieve high performance with little maintenance.
