Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing is an advanced method of Non-Destructive Testing for corrosion mapping or detecting defects in materials. In contrast to conventional ultrasonic probes, emitting a beam under one angle only, phased array probes are controlled electronically, to swipe a beam through the materials thus covering a larger test area in less time.

MME Group uses Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing for various applications:

  • welding inspections
  • Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements (UTM)
  • corrosion inspection
  • crack detection
