Introducing the ICCP Harbour System – Optimized protection for harbour and combi walls

To expand our ICCP solutions, MME Group now offers the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) Harbour System, specifically designed for harbour structures. This innovative sytem provides optimal corrosion protection with a low footprint and minimal power consumption, making it ideal for quay walls, sheet pile and other confined harbour structures.

As a key part of our ICCP Harbour System, it includes essential components such as our ICCP wire anode and seamlessly connects to advanced monitoring features from remote data logging to easy WiFi-based setup all designed to deliver long‑lasting and reliable protection.

Key advantages

The ICCP harbour system offers several benefits for harbour infrastructure projects:

  •
  • Low footprint on harbour and combi walls, unobtrusive and safe.
  • Uniform current distribution for long-term corrosion protection.
  • Easy & safe installation with weldable brackets and slotted pipes to prevent unintended contact with foreign objects.
  • Compatible with multiple harbour wall types reinforced concrete and sheet piles.
  • Integrated with updated grounding system ensures reliable performance
  • Modular easy to scale up

The system can be seamlessly integrated into your existing ICCP installations, ensuring efficient, adaptive, and reliable protection without compromising on space or safety.

Aren't sacrificial anodes a better option for harbours?

Galvanic/Sacrificial anodes are maintenance-free, but if the asset’s lifetime is extended beyond the anodes’ calculated lifespan, additional protection solutions are required.

ICCP systems offer significant advantages:

  • Automatically adjust to measured protection levels
  • Maintain optimal corrosion protection at all times
  • Real-time monitoring of underwater electric potential and the systems output
  • Reduce maintenance and lifecycle costs
  • Lower total lifecycle costs

If environmental conditions such as water salinity change, MME Group ICCP systems automatically adjust the current output to ensure your structure remains protected against corrosion at all times.
