Hardness is decisive for the machinability and wear resistance of a material. The hardness is related to the mechanical properties of a material.

Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell are the units most commonly used. Much will be explained about this during the theory section.

Two well-known mobile methods are the dynamic method and Ultrasonic Contact Impedance (UCI). The dynamic method measures by means of a spring mechanism and the UCI method by means of an oscillating shaft, with which the students will work extensively during the practical part.

After successfully completing this course, you will not receive an official certificate, but a company-specific "Level of Competence" statement.
