This time Robert Liese is in the spotlight. Robert is working for MME Group since September 2019 and started as Rope Access Coordinator and quickly became the Rope Access Manager at our office in Ridderkerk.

Meet Robert Liese

Robert tells: “My name is Robert Liese, 39 years old, married and father of 2 children. In the past I was a professional in outdoor sports and I have worked in mountain sports for over 10 summer seasons. Since this was mainly seasonal work, I eventually ended up in the Rope Access and inspection world in the Netherlands. 
After going through all the steps within the Rope Access world and also working as a visual inspector in the field, I was ready for a new step in my career where I could take on a more transcendent role.

At the same time, MME Group coincidentally crossed my path. MME Group's secondment agency; Quality LinQ had approached me via LinkedIn. They indicated that they had an open position as Rope Access Coordinator and asked if I might be interested in this job. I was certainly interested and through Quality LinQ, I was introduced to MME Group.”

Rope Access Manager

“As a Rope Access Manager, I am responsible for all Rope Access requests, I manage and coordinate the entire process from project request to invoicing. 
Every day, I am committed to guarantee high quality and safety at the Rope Access department of MME Group.

In addition to the daily coordination of Rope Access projects, I visit work locations to record work, start-up projects and carry out inspections. If my schedule allows it, I also join and work as IRATA Supervisor at a project. This keeps my job varied and challenging. In this way, I try to remain good contact between the personnel from the office and the field.”

What makes you enjoy going to work every day?

"There are many different departments at MME Group, which creates new collaborations and the different departments can reinforce each other. We can and are open to learn a lot from each other and we work together in a pleasant way.

It is also nice to see that MME Group and the Rope Access department are still developing. For example, since 2022 we’ve got our own Rope Access training shed and storage space. As a result, further development and growth is always possible!"
