Meet Daniek Reedijk
Daniek tells: “My name is Daniek Reedijk, and I am 21 years old. In January 2024, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Event Management after three intensive and educational years. During my studies, I developed a passion for planning, organizing, and finding solutions in dynamic environments.”
“From a young age, I have been curious about the business world, partly because my father has his own business in shipping. This interest was further heightened when I got the opportunity through my mother, who has been working at MME for 40 years, to do trial day at MME Group. After this successful introduction in February 2024, I officially started at MME Group two weeks later through Quality LinQ, the staffing agency of MME Group.”
From Operational assistant to Planner NDT
“Last month (February 2025), I celebrated my first work anniversary. During this time, I have been promoted from Operational assistant to Planner NDT at our main office in Ridderkerk. My role is variable and challenging, as I am responsible for planning and coordinating inspections.”
What makes you look forward to work every day?
“What I enjoy most about my job is the direct contact with clients and finding suitable solutions for them. Clients often call with urgent requests, and it is my responsibility to ensure that an Inspector is on-site as quickly as possible. Every day is different and presents new challenges, which keeps my work varied and dynamic.”
“Moreover, I work in a close-knit team where flexibility and collaboration are essential. Although I work in a predominantly male environment, I feel completely at home. The collegiality and willingness to help each other make my role at MME Group incredibly pleasant.”
In the past year, I have not only gained a lot of practical experience, but I have also followed various courses. Through Quality LinQ, I initially took an NDT-A course at the Training Center of MME Group, which helped me better understand the world of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). Subsequently, I also became certified as a company first aider (BHV’er), allowing me to contribute additionally to safety within the company."
