Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Sales Manager. As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for generating new business and representing MME Group in acquiring new projects within the offshore and port industry. You will lead the sales team. In consultation with the Marketing department, you will draw up a sales plan, determine the company’s commercial strategy, and be responsible for the results.

In addition to managing the entire sales process, you will visit existing and potential customers. You will gather information about ongoing and upcoming projects. You advise customers on our capabilities and translate technical requirements into technical solutions. You also ensure proper follow-up of quotations and order confirmations and engage with customers for after-sales. You will be working in a close‑knit team with an informal working atmosphere.

Tasks

  • Maintain and expand the customer base, while actively approaching potential clients;
  • Visit (inter)national customers and project locations;
  • Take responsibility for the full sales process;
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and project proposals;
  • Coordinate the sales process, identify commercial opportunities, and proactively act on them;
  • Lead the sales team and liaise with various departments such as Engineering and Order Processing;
  • Represent MME Group at international trade fairs and customer visits.


Your profile

  • A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO) in (maritime) engineering or a related technical field;
  • Demonstrable sales experience within the maritime, offshore, or technical sector;
  • Knowledge of cathodic protection is an advantage;
  • A commercial mindset and strong communication skills;
  • Analytical thinking, forward‑thinking and solution‑oriented towards the customer;
  • A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently;
  • Strong affinity with shipbuilding and/or shipping;
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
